GDAP Showcases Filipino Game Development Talent at Ube Fiesta Köln 2026

The Game Developers Association of the Philippines (GDAP) proudly joined Ube Fiesta Köln 2026 last June 20-21, 2026, bringing the creativity, innovation, and talent of the Philippine game development industry to audiences in Cologne, Germany.

As one of the festival’s featured attractions, the GDAP Game Showcase transformed the festival grounds into an interactive gaming experience. Visitors were invited to scan QR codes, complete challenges, earn points, and climb the event leaderboard while discovering games developed by Filipino studios. The activity provided a fun and engaging way for attendees to experience the growing capabilities of the Philippine games industry firsthand.

The showcase featured five games from three Philippine game development studios: Leveret, Kooapps, and Cadre Creative Lab. Through their participation, festival-goers were introduced to a diverse range of Filipino-made gaming experiences, highlighting the creativity and technical excellence that continue to drive the local industry forward.

The initiative forms part of GDAP’s ongoing efforts to promote Philippine game development on the global stage, creating opportunities for local studios to reach new audiences and build international connections. By participating in international cultural events such as Ube Fiesta Köln, GDAP aims to strengthen awareness of the Philippines as a source of world-class digital content, innovation, and creative talent.

In addition to the game showcase, attendees were encouraged to visit Jugendhaus, where Jugendzentrum Digital presented a range of interactive eGames activities, further enriching the festival’s digital and gaming offerings.

GDAP extends its sincere appreciation to the Department of Foreign Affairs – Office of Economic and Cultural Diplomacy (DFA-OECD), The Philippine Consulate Office in Frankfurt, Jugendzentrum Digital, and the organizers of Ube Fiesta Köln for their support and collaboration in making this initiative possible.

As the Philippine games industry continues to grow, GDAP remains committed to supporting local developers and creating opportunities to showcase Filipino creativity to audiences around the world.
